Year 1925

In Skopje, on January 14th, the first modern cinema was opened. It was "Apollo" with numerated seats. The serving of food and drinks was strictly forbidden in this cinema, but a cafeteria was opened in the lobby. In July, the "Apollo" cinema opened festively its film program on the so-called Venetian Terrace.

In the same year, in March, Todor Ikonomov, Lazo Kazandziev and Petar Markovic opened in Shtip a hotel and cinema "The Serbian King". In Kavadarci, the "Balkans Tavern" was visited by an unidentified Czech traveling theater.
