In Skopje, on January 14th, the first modern cinema was opened. It was "Apollo" with numerated seats. The serving of food and drinks was strictly forbidden in this cinema, but a cafeteria was opened in the lobby. In July, the "Apollo" cinema opened festively its film program on the so-called Venetian Terrace. In the same year, in March, Todor Ikonomov, Lazo Kazandziev and Petar Markovic opened in Shtip a hotel and cinema "The Serbian King". In Kavadarci, the "Balkans Tavern" was visited by an unidentified Czech traveling theater.
