Year 1950

The following documentary films were produced: "Joyous childhood", directed by Blagoja Drnkov, "People's Technique" and "Cotton", directed by Kocho Nedkov, "Five Years of People Republic of Macedonia", directed by Kiro Bilbilovski and "Along the Valley of the Vardar", directed by Trajche Popov. Also, 8 issues of the newsreels were produced.

On May 21, 1950, a founding assembly of the Association of film makers was held in the National Theatre in Skopje. The Association was founded as a union and social organization comprising all film profiles. The first President of the film Association was Jovan Boshkovski, while Milton Manaki, the first cinematographer in the Balkans, was elected as an honorary member.

On March 12, a Federation of photographic and cinema amateurs was founded in Skopje. The company "Kinotehnika" was attached to the company for distribution of films, so called "Filmsko", which meant concentration of the film distribution and explotation (film showings) as well as maintenance of the technical equipment in one place.

The Goverment of FNRJ awarded Kiro Bilbilovski as a director and cinematographer of the film "The Cattle Breeding of Today", while the Goverment of People Republic of Macedonia with a Decree for republic recognition in the field of science and culture, decorated the following film makers: Kocho Nedkov, Ljube Petkovski for the documentary film "People's Technique", Trajche Popov, Kiro Bilbilovski, Aco Petrovski and Aki Pavlovski for the documentary film "The First Congress of Communist Party of Macedonia", and Blagoja Drnkov and Boris Bojadziski for the film "Joyous Childhood".

That year, the Presidium of the National Assembly of FNRJ decorated two Macedonian film makers - Blagoja Drnkov with a Medal of Labour and Trajce Popov with an Order of Labour.
